Today’s consumers are very active and passionate about social movements and beliefs. People are becoming more conscious about supporting companies who also support the things they do and aren’t afraid to call them out. Lately, we have seen an increase in companies and brands taking stands and making statements with their ads, and it’s working. A recent study by Sprout Social showed that 66% of consumers want brands to take a stand and lead the charge on social issues. In the past few years, there have been many ads that talk about issues like immigration, climate change, religion and opposing views. While taking a stand publicly may ostracize some, a company willing to stand up for what it believes and try to make the world a better place is something I can always get behind.
