Where were you then? How media changed after 9/11

After 9/11, media as we know it changed. By covering this national tragedy, news transitioned from covering an extreme amount of domestic news to including more and more foreign news. Subsequently, media coverage of terrorism and armed conflict rose while coverage of domestic crime, science and technology fell drastically according to this journalism.org article. Another notable change is the speed and urgency behind releasing news, specially online according to Adweek. News coverage has ultimately changed in the way it reports tragedy, disaster and foreign issues. Regardless of the shifts of media after this event, the lives that have been lost will not be forgotten.
